Getting started
- Create a project: describe your startup idea in a sentence.
- Run research: the pipeline discovers competitors, keywords, gaps and forecasts.
- Read the Overview: scores, direct competitors, feature gaps and recommendations.
- Export: generate a PDF or PowerPoint report when you need to share.
A full research run typically takes a few minutes. You can keep working while it runs.
The engines
Competitor Research
Discovers and scores real competitors, classifies them as direct / indirect / emerging / alternative, and enriches each with traffic, authority, funding and pricing.
Feature Intelligence
Crawls competitor sites to build a feature-gap matrix: who supports what, fully or partially, and where the openings are.
SEO Intelligence
Keyword discovery with volume, difficulty, intent and opportunity scoring, plus clustering and programmatic SEO plays.
Market Gap Analysis
Customer pain points, blue-ocean concepts, underserved audiences and positioning gaps, scored by impact and effort.
Revenue Forecast
Traffic → conversion → MRR/ARR modelling with scenarios and a 12-month curve.
Continuous Intelligence
Always-on monitoring for funding, pricing, features, hiring, reviews and SEO shifts, with alerts and a competitive timeline.
Reading the scores
- Opportunity Score (0–100): overall attractiveness, weighing demand, competition and gaps.
- Competitor Score: how much of a threat a given competitor is, blending similarity, traffic, authority, funding, search presence and brand.
- Confidence: how strongly the underlying evidence supports a claim.
Rules of thumb: 80+ strong potential, 60–79 promising, 40–59 needs work, below 40 high risk.
Source attribution
Every intelligence item carries a source chip showing where it came from: the competitor’s pricing page, press coverage, review platforms, SERP tracking, and so on. Expand “View evidence” to see the exact before → after values compared.
Reports
Reports are assembled from your research into sections (executive summary, competitors, features, SEO, gaps, recommendations, forecast, roadmap, GTM) and exported to PDF, PowerPoint, HTML, Markdown or Notion. Share links can be password-protected and expiring.
Limits and honesty
- Traffic and SEO figures from third-party providers are estimates, labelled as such.
- AI output is decision-support, not professional advice. Verify before acting.
- Where evidence is weak we show fewer results rather than padding the list.
Practical tips
Write the idea as one specific sentence
“A SaaS tool that automates phone orders for takeaways” beats “AI for restaurants”. Specificity is what makes competitor discovery accurate. If a generic giant shows up in your results, the sentence was too broad. Tighten it and re-run.
Read direct competitors first
They tell you whether the space is real and where the price ceiling sits. Come back to the indirect list afterwards.
Use the feature matrix to find openings
Rows where every competitor shows a cross are either a genuine gap or an idea nobody wants. The market-gap scores help you tell which.
