Find the competitors your startup actually faces
SignalDart discovers the companies selling to your customer, classifies each as direct, indirect, emerging or alternative, and enriches them with pricing, features, traffic, authority and funding. Direct competitors come first, ranked by how closely they compete, not by how famous they are.

Why a competitor list from a search engine misleads you
Search for your category and the first page is full of the biggest brands and the best-funded advertisers. They are rarely the companies that will lose a customer to you, and the small, focused products that will are often on page three.
A useful competitor analysis separates the product your customer would otherwise buy from the adjacent tool they might stretch to fit, and from the spreadsheet they use today. Each tells you something different about your market.

- 03
Enrich from their own pages
Homepages, pricing, feature and changelog pages are rendered and read in full, so pricing and features come from the competitor's site rather than a stale database.

Frequently asked questions
How does SignalDart find competitors?
From your one-sentence idea description, agents search for companies serving the same customer and problem, then read each candidate's website to confirm what it sells. Candidates that turn out to be unrelated are dropped rather than kept to fill the list.
What is the difference between direct and indirect competitors?
A direct competitor sells a similar product to the same customer for the same job. An indirect competitor solves the same problem a different way, or serves an adjacent customer. SignalDart also flags emerging competitors and alternatives such as spreadsheets or agencies.
How many competitors does it analyze?
Up to 5 per project on the Free plan, 10 on Starter and 12 on Professional, Agency and Enterprise.
Where do the pricing and feature details come from?
From the competitors' own websites. SignalDart renders their pricing, feature and changelog pages, extracts the details and cites the URL and the time it was read.
Can I add a competitor I already know about?
Yes. You can add competitors to a project yourself and they are enriched in the same way as discovered ones.
